At the Jan. 15 meeting the Swedesboro-Woolwich Board of Education awarded student-transportation services for the 2024–25 school year to B.R. Williams, Inc. The minutes record the accepted bid at a per-diem rate of $242 and a total contract value of $21,780.
Operations Committee chair Julie Dickson presented the bid acceptance and the board approved the contract on roll call. Board member Laurie Cecala-Read raised a policy question about whether the board could look at nonprofit facility fees; the board recorded that facility usage approvals are subject to insurance certificates and 501(c)(3) documentation.
On curriculum and grant-funded services, committee chair Natalie Baker moved that the district utilize Tutored by Teachers in conjunction with the High Impact Tutoring Grant and ESEA grant for the 2024–25 school year, not to exceed $22,000. The board approved the expenditure on recorded vote.
The minutes also show approval of several facility usage requests, including HELP Inc.'s request to use Clifford School for an MLK Day celebration, subject to insurance and documentation.
