Tabernacle Township board appoints field hockey coach, accepts $4,500 donation and waives fees

The Tabernacle Township School District Board of Education on Sept. 6 appointed Lisa Dyonda as the field hockey coach for the 2024–25 school year and accepted a $4,500 community donation to support the program, voting also to waive the student fee for the season.
The actions came during a special meeting at Kenneth R. Olson Middle School called to order at 4:00 p.m. President Colonel Stephen Henske presided. Patricia Palmieri, the board secretary and school business administrator, read the board’s Open Public Meetings Act (NJSA 10:4-6) compliance statement before public comment. During the public-comment period, resident Mrs. Skaare of 354 Pricketts Mill Road said, "thank you for allowing the field hockey team."
Board minutes list a motion by Mr. Jonathan Grubb to appoint Lisa Dyonda as field hockey coach, seconded by Mr. Steven Mosser; the minutes record roll-call marks indicating approval by the members present. Separately, the board voted on a motion by Mrs. Erica Vining, seconded by Mrs. Amy Lepsis, to accept a $4,500 community donation for the field hockey program and to waive the student participation fee for 2024–25 because the program is community-funded; the minutes record the motion as approved by those present.
The minutes reference compensation for extra-curricular positions as listed on "Schedule F." The meeting adjourned at 4:18 p.m.; the minutes were respectfully submitted by Patricia Palmieri, Board Secretary/School Business Administrator.
