At the July 8 meeting, the Superintendent reported that Extended School Year (ESY) programming is underway and will conclude July 25, 2024, and that district referendum construction continues across campuses. Work cited in the minutes includes new HVAC units at TES, ductwork and roof replacement at OMS, and daily progress on door, camera, access-control and intrusion-alarm projects.
The minutes note that construction for a new preschool playground is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks and that the district has been awarded a $65,000 grant to upgrade playground equipment. Administrative dates recorded: preschool and kindergarten orientation on August 20 and OMS new-student orientation on August 21; OMS sports physicals and forms are due Aug. 23; TES Back to School Night is Sept. 10 and OMS Back to School Night will be in September.
The board recorded these operational updates but did not take formal action tied specifically to the construction items during the public meeting; members were informed that updates will follow as projects progress.
