The Health Facilities Commission approved Level III trauma redesignations for two hospitals after a trauma report presentation.
Rob Seesholtz presented the Trauma report recommending Level III redesignation for Bristol Regional Medical Center (Hospital #131) and Holston Valley Medical Center (Hospital #133). Vice Chairman Melanie Keller moved to approve Bristol's redesignation, Mr. Jeremy Biggs seconded; Keller moved to approve Holston Valley's redesignation and Mr. James Wright seconded. Both motions passed unanimously.
The redesignations will be recorded in hospital designation records and communicated to the facilities and relevant state offices.
