The Teaneck Board of Education approved an extensive personnel slate on Oct. 15 covering resignations, appointments, long‑term and leave replacements, stipends, coach appointments and other extra‑duty pay assignments for the 2024‑25 school year.
Notable items include certificated appointments (e.g., Helene NGuessan as Grade 6 teacher at Thomas Jefferson Middle School), approval of long‑term substitute assignments and bedside instruction vendor payments (LearnWell) with specified hourly rates and not‑to‑exceed amounts. The board also approved mentor assignments for provisionally certified novice teachers, salary reclassifications for TTEA staff after qualifying coursework, and an array of extracurricular stipend positions across Benjamin Franklin Middle School, Thomas Jefferson Middle School and Teaneck High School (marching band, club advisors, coaches and program leads).
One personnel line—item #35 under Personnel (Teaneck Athletic Event Staff list)—was motioned to be tabled by Mr. Rodriguez and seconded by Ms. Fisher; the remaining personnel items (1–34 and #36) carried unanimously. The board packet lists effective dates, stipend amounts and funding sources where applicable.
