The approval was recorded in the motion to accept payments and carried as part of the board’s routine Finance & Budget agenda.
Separately the board approved out-of-district special-education tuition placements and contracts that amount to $468,582.20 for the 2024–25 year, including several placements at specialized schools. The board also approved bedside instruction payments to LearnWell at $60.75 per hour for specified students and contracts with clinicians and agencies for related services for the year.
On facilities, the board authorized an emergency boiler repair at Whittier Elementary School by Combustion Service Corp. under Ed Data contract #12191 for a total of $67,735.00 (materials $33,925; labor $33,810). The board also accepted change-order credits and contract adjustments for cafeteria HVAC upgrades at Benjamin Franklin Middle School (credit $26,722.34; adjusted contract $387,277.66) and Thomas Jefferson Middle School (credit $13,398.98; adjusted contract $881,601.02), and approved pre-K classroom renovation allowance reconciliations at Bryant School.
