Teaneck Board gives first reading to revised equity and facilities policies

The regulations accompanying Policy 2260 (R2260) outline a complaint procedure that assigns an Affirmative Action Officer to investigate complaints and provides timelines for responses and appeals through the superintendent and board.
Policy 7510 (Use of School Facilities) and its district regulations define priority classes of users, insurance and indemnification requirements, custodial staffing rules, fee schedules and special provisions for groups such as PTAs and scouting organizations. The regulation specifies application timelines, classification criteria for applicant organizations and fee schedules for auditoria, gyms, classrooms and fields. The board approved these first readings to move the policies forward in the adoption process.
