Haileyville Public Schools said families can complete student enrollment on Wednesday, July 31 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria, and it will host a Back‑to‑School Bash on Thursday, Aug. 8 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the school playground.
The Elementary/High School Principal (as recorded in the minutes) described the Bash as a community event offering free hot dogs, chips and ice cream, games, booths from the PTO and student organizations (FFA, BPA and FCCLA), and a water slide sponsored by Realty ONE Group, First United Bank and Best Inspections. Fire trucks were also expected to attend. The event is intended to let families meet staff before the school year and to distribute school‑year information.
The district recorded no public visitors at the July 8 meeting and did not record additional details such as distribution plans or volunteer sign-ups for the Bash. The board approved related activity-account structures for 2024–25 during the same meeting, which will support school activities and concessions.
The enrollment date and event details were announced as part of the Elementary/High School Principal’s report; no motion was required or recorded for these announcements.
