The Township of Union Board of Education accepted a Family Trust donation of $508,268 to Union High School and approved contracts and a legal settlement following the board’s second executive session on Aug. 27, 2024.
Board members voted to accept the donation to Union High School. The motion to accept donations (F‑9C) passed by roll call following the meeting’s return from executive session.
The board also approved Graham Behavior Services to provide applied behavior analysis services for the 2024–25 school year, including behaviorist consultation (2 hours per week for 76 hours at $160/hour), functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans and up to 50 hours of training/maintenance, with a combined not‑to‑exceed amount of $20,160 (account #11-000-216-320-01-19/7043). The motion to approve Graham Behavior Services carried with all voting members recorded as aye.
In a separate roll-call vote the board approved a legal settlement in the matter of N.G. and E.G. on behalf of C.G. v. Township of Union Board of Education. The motion carried with six ayes and one no (Mrs. Conteh‑Mackey voted no). No further details of the settlement were discussed on the public record.
