Silver Creek Township supervisors approve engineering contract, loader repairs and staff day off

Chairman Mike Helman moved to hire Otto for engineering services, with the limit set at $30,000; Supervisor Andy Christensen seconded the motion and it carried 3-0. Helman also moved to authorize up to $500 to repair the township hall’s video and audio system; Christensen seconded and the motion carried 3-0.
On maintenance matters, Chairman Helman moved that township employees will not work on June 19; Supervisor Christensen seconded and the motion passed 3-0. The board approved up to $10,000 for repairs to a township loader, a motion moved by Helman, seconded by Christensen and carried unanimously.
During the meeting Supervisor Andy Christensen moved to continue using the Wright County Assessors for assessment services; Supervisor Sandy Forsman seconded and the motion carried 3-0. The minutes note the board will consider other options in the future but did not record any immediate change to assessor services.
The board approved the meeting agenda (with added items: Olson liquor license to new business and county assessor added to old business), the June 3, 2025 meeting minutes, and a list of disbursements; the minutes list audit of claims including vendors Cintas, Chamberlin Oil, Menards and TDS. Each of those motions was recorded as carried 3-0.
Supervisor Christensen moved to adjourn at the close of business; Supervisor Forsman seconded.
