The City of Ithaca City Council voted on March 17 to award the 2026–2027 Sidewalk Project for Zones 5 and 6 to Seifert Concrete, the lowest of three bidders, at $7.75 per square foot.
City Treasurer Luke Klifman reported three bids at the meeting and recommended awarding the two-year contract to Seifert Concrete. Councilperson Rob Endter moved to award the contract and Councilperson Brandon Ester seconded the motion; the council approved the award by voice vote.
The contract calls for removal and replacement with four-inch-thick concrete. The award covers work in Zones 5 and 6 during the 2026–2027 period; the record does not list the total square footage or aggregate contract price beyond the per-square-foot bid. The council’s motion and the recommendation from staff complete the procurement step required to move into project scheduling and contract execution.
