The Town of Mamaroneck held its 2025 organizational meeting following the supervisor’s annual address and approved a slate of administrative resolutions and appointments.
The supervisor read resolutions appointing Sabrina Fiddleman as deputy town supervisor (term 01/01/2025–12/31/2025) and Meredith Robson as budget officer (term 01/01/2025–12/31/2025). A member moved to accept all previously read resolutions and the supervisor seconded; the board recorded the roll call and the omnibus motion passed.
The board designated The Journal News as the town's official newspaper for legal notices in 2025, identified depositories (including the NYCLASS investment pool, BNY Mellon, JPMorgan Chase and NYLAF), and updated signature and electronic transfer protocols, requiring dual authorization for external transfers and checks.
Multiple appointments to boards and commissions were read and approved as part of an omnibus appointments motion. Appointments included planning board members and chair assignments, reappointments and new terms on the zoning board of appeals, new members of the board of ethics and architectural review, recreation committee members, sustainability collaborative co‑chairs, traffic committee members and co‑chairs, and members of a First Responders Memorial Committee. The town noted that appointees take office upon taking the oath required by Section 25 of New York Town Law.
There was a brief procedural exchange about whether certain items required individual votes or an omnibus motion; board members agreed to proceed with an omnibus vote for efficiency. One member asked for corrections to minutes wording (e.g., recreation commission vs. recreation committee) and a procedural clarification that certain chairs select their own chair rather than the board appointing chairs for some bodies.
The board also adopted a 2025 schedule of regular meetings (at 740 West Boston Post Road beginning at 5 p.m. on specified dates) and confirmed municipal insurance coverage limits and official undertakings required by law. The meeting closed with customary New Year greetings and an adjournment; the next regular meeting was announced for Jan. 22.
