Elk Township planning board deems Country Roads cannabis site-plan application incomplete, grants waivers

The Elk Township Combined Planning & Zoning Board voted unanimously on Jan. 15, 2025 to grant requested waivers and to deem the Country Roads Cannabis Establishment site-plan application (SP-25-01) incomplete. The application concerns a proposed cannabis establishment at 730 Buck Road (Block 44, Lot 4).
Steven Bach, board engineer with Bach and Associates, referenced his Jan. 13, 2025 review letter noting which waivers he recommended and which he did not, and said that unless the applicant submits revised materials for planner/engineer review, the board should deem the application incomplete. On a motion by Mr. Wolf, seconded by Jay Hughes, the board granted the waivers and deemed the application incomplete; the roll-call vote recorded nine yeas, zero nays.
Bach said that if the applicant submits the necessary revised application materials to the board planner and engineer for review, the application could be scheduled for completeness and a technical hearing at the February meeting. No technical hearing or final approval occurred at the Jan. 15 meeting; the action was limited to waivers and the procedural determination of completeness.
The board opened a general public portion and closed it without extended comment. The board adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
