GSSM board approves transfer of quantum assets and a Hartsville property to foundation

Trustees voted to accept an asset transfer from the South Carolina Quantum Association that included the Q Lite X software platform and AB2 robots to the GSSM Foundation. The motion was made and seconded from the board dais and carried by voice vote.
The board then approved acceptance of a property gift at 620 West Home Avenue, Hartsville, S.C. 29550, transferring the property to the GSSM Foundation as outlined in a donor gift agreement. That motion was also moved and seconded and carried by voice vote.
Finally, trustees approved a memorandum of understanding dated February 12, 2026, concerning the Hartsville property as described in the MOU text presented to the board. That motion carried.
All three actions were presented for separate, independent motions and each was approved in open session following closed deliberations. The board chair indicated there was no action taken during executive session itself.
The transfers were discussed as foundation items and are expected to be reflected in upcoming foundation documentation and public event materials.
