The Jonesville City Council approved a Land Division Application and Combination for 404 Parkwood Drive and authorized preliminary work on a proposed Park Land Donation Agreement that would provide roughly 3/4 of an acre from property owner Jerry Drake to expand Wright Street Park for a Dog Park.
Chris Grider moved, supported by Tim Bowman, to approve the land division and combination for 404 Parkwood Drive as proposed by the applicant, Jerry Drake; the motion carried (Absent: Brenda Guyse). Separately, Councilmember Delesha Padula moved, supported by Andy Penrose, to proceed with a survey and title search for a donation agreement. The City will incur the survey expense (estimated at $3,800) and an approximate $200 title search. The Donation Agreement will return for Council consideration once a legal description is prepared and clear title is confirmed.
Council did not take final action to accept the donation at the Sept. 18 meeting; the vote authorized preparatory work so the donation can be considered at a future meeting.
