The Hardeeville City Council approved a resolution Feb. 19 authorizing the city to enter a partnership agreement with GTIS Partners for the design and construction of a monument entrance sign for the Commerce Park. Staff reported the cost at $107,000, which exceeds the manager’s $100,000 sign‑off threshold and therefore required council authorization.
City planning staff said the design uses Lowcountry architectural elements (tabby accents, backlighting and landscaping) and will be paid from an existing Commerce Park improvements budget line. Council voted by voice to approve the agreement.
What’s next: Staff will finalize the partnership agreement and schedule design and construction under the approved budget line.
