The Eunice Mayor and Board of Aldermen adopted Ordinance 1124(A) on Nov. 12, 2024, authorizing the issuance of Sewer Revenue Bonds not to exceed $12,000,000.
The action was recorded under Old Business and carried by the board. Earlier in the evening a public hearing on the bond took place at 6:15 p.m.; Margaret Frey spoke in favor of the proposed ordinance.
Under New Business the board introduced Ordinance 1224(A), which would restructure monthly fees for water closets (toilets) billed through the City of Eunice Waste Water System. The ordinance was introduced for consideration (motion by Alderman Marion “Nootsie” Sattler; second by Alderman Chad Andrepont). The ordinance was introduced and not adopted at the meeting.
Separately, the board discussed a proposed sewer‑line extension off South Bobcat Drive. City Attorney Stan Feucht described an Easement Agreement with Robert Sattler to allow the extension across Sattler’s property; the board authorized the mayor to enter into the easement agreement (motion by Alderwoman Connie Thibodeaux; second by Alderman Chad Andrepont).
Votes and formal actions taken at the meeting included the adoption of the sewer bond ordinance, the introduction of the wastewater fee ordinance, and authorization of the sewer easement. Meeting minutes list the attendance and record votes where taken.
