Lake Isabella council approves consent agenda, adopts rules; manager honored; councilmember will not seek re-election

At its Jan. 20 meeting the Village Council approved the consent agenda (6-0), adopted rules of procedure (6-0), Village President presented a plaque to Village Manager Wolff recognizing 25 years of service, and Councilmember Peavey announced he will not run for re-election.
The Lake Isabella Village Council approved its Consent Agenda and voted to adopt council rules of procedure during its Jan. 20, 2026 regular meeting.
Laraway moved and Peavey seconded approval of the Consent Agenda; roll-call vote recorded YEAS Barringer, Laraway, Lahti, Peavey, Shannon and Torgerson; motion carried 6-0-0. Later in the meeting Laraway again moved and Peavey seconded to accept the Village Council Rules of Procedure without amendment; roll-call vote recorded YEAS Barringer, Laraway, Lahti, Peavey, Shannon and Torgerson; motion carried 6-0-0.
Village President David K. Torgerson presented Village Manager Wolff with a plaque from the International City/County Management Association recognizing Wolff’s 25 years in local government. During Council Comments, Councilmember Peavey said he will not seek re-election this year because of increasing time demands from his children's sports activities; he said he intends to remain involved, including serving on the Lake Restoration Committee.
With no further business the meeting adjourned at 7:43 p.m.; the minutes were later approved on Feb. 17, 2026.
