Lookout Mountain adopts budget amendment, approves 2025 audit for state filing

The Town of Lookout Mountain Board of Commissioners on Dec. 9 adopted Budget Amendment Ordinance No. 246 on second and final reading and approved the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025 audit for submission to the State of Tennessee.
Brooke Pippenger presented the financial report through October 2025. Following discussion, Commissioner Bentley moved and Commissioner Leavengood seconded approval of the financial report; the board voted unanimously to approve it. The board then considered Budget Amendment Ordinance No. 246; after a motion by Commissioner Bentley, seconded by Commissioner Leavengood, the ordinance was adopted on final reading by unanimous vote.
Town auditor Paul Johnson led a detailed review of the audit report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025. After the review, Commissioner Leavengood moved and Commissioner Bentley seconded approval of the audit report. The motion carried unanimously, and the audit report was ordered to be forwarded to the State of Tennessee “as required by law.” A copy of the approved financial report was attached as Exhibit B to the minutes.
The actions complete the town’s formal fiscal review and record-keeping for the year; the board did not specify additional changes tied to the ordinance in the meeting record. The board adjourned the session with no further fiscal items on the agenda.
