Enumclaw City Council adopted Resolution 1879 on May 26, approving updates to the city fee schedule that include parks program pricing adjustments and cemetery fee updates.
Parks and Recreation Director Alina Hibbs described two fee proposals: a lower-cost two-day-per-week swim-team option intended to provide a more affordable alternative to the existing three-day program, and a set of cemetery fee adjustments (including removal of sold-out mausoleum facing categories and updated pricing for available alcove niches) to reflect operational and maintenance cost changes. Director Hibbs said staff recommended approval.
Chris (staff) reported the fee resolution also reflects an automatic, formula-based school impact fee adjustment: "The fee resolution presented to you tonight represents a 3.1% adjusted school impact fee," staff said, noting the adjustment follows the consumer price index method the council previously authorized. Council moved, seconded and approved Resolution 1879 by voice vote.
What happens next: staff will implement the updated fee schedule; council directed staff to evaluate the school district’s capital facilities plan when it is adopted and return with a recommendation if the city should deviate from the CPI-based formula in the future.
