Commission approves replat for subdivision 23-012; airport tank relocation pending Fire Marshal approval and fuel-tank contractor probed

Paul Thur reviewed airport and land-planning work. Thur said the tank relocation is wrapping up what can be completed without the tank in place and that plan approval from the Fire Marshal remains pending. He is also compiling an inventory of airfield salvage items (the "bone yard") in advance of an auction and said he would coordinate required notifications with Deputy County Attorney Jennifer Kirk.
Thur and Stephanie May presented the replat of simple subdivision 23-012; Commissioner Dave Neves moved to approve the replat, and the motion was seconded and carried.
Deputy County Attorney Jennifer Kirk reported that the Sheriff's Office has been asked to investigate Bryant Fuel Systems after the contractor abandoned construction of the county fuel tank project. Kirk said the County Attorney's Office will send a letter to an address uncovered in that investigation.
Thur said he will continue to work with Kirk on required notifications related to the auction inventory and with the Fire Marshal to secure final plan approval. The commission did not set a further public hearing on the replat; staff will proceed with administrative steps required after approval.
