ESU7 outlines services available to SCHUYLER COMMUNITY SCHOOLS

Marcy Ospire, chief administrator at ESU7 Columbus, told the SCHUYLER COMMUNITY SCHOOLS board that ESU7 functions like a regional education service unit and provides professional development, technology and instructional resources to area schools. She distributed a service-plan packet showing services the district accessed in the 2024–25 year and so far this year.
Ospire said ESU7 meets with the district superintendent and principals to tailor services based on local data and needs. "We have conversations with your principals to say, 'How can we support your school, your teachers, your students?'" she said, describing a personalized planning process.
Board members thanked ESU7 for the partnership and noted that having a menu of available supports helps schools identify options for teachers and students. Joyce, an ESU7 board member, joined Ospire in describing the 12-member ESU7 governance structure and the regional representation reflected in the packet.
The materials included counts of professional-development sessions and other service contacts; Ospire said the packet gives the board a snapshot of what is available and what the schools have accessed.
The district did not take formal action on the presentation; ESU7 representatives left handouts for board review and follow-up.
