Norwell approves five additional warrant articles including school agreement amendment, cell tower lease and preservation funding

Article 3 authorized the Select Board to negotiate and sign long‑term leases (in excess of three years, up to 20 years) for a monopole wireless communications tower on town‑owned land off Grove Street under the control of the Water Department. The Advisory Board recommended approval; the motion passed by voice vote at 8:16 p.m.
Article 4 authorized the Select Board to enter into a municipal solid waste removal contract in excess of three years (SEMASS contract renewal, up to 10 years). The Advisory Board recommended the Article and the motion passed by voice vote at 8:17 p.m.
Article 5, requested by the Community Preservation Committee and others, appropriated a total of $460,350 from Community Preservation funds for construction of a vault in the new Town Hall to preserve historic resources as required under M.G.L. Ch. 44B. The vote authorized $263,670 from the Community Preservation Historic Fund and $196,680 from the Undesignated Fund; the motion passed by voice vote at 8:23 p.m.
Article 6 appropriated $200,000 from the Community Preservation Undesignated Fund to preserve and protect the Town’s permanent historic records; the Advisory Board recommended approval and the motion passed by voice vote at 8:36 p.m.
After no reconsiderations were heard, the Moderator called for and declared the Special Town Meeting dissolved at 8:36 p.m.
