Bremen selectmen approve Town Meeting warrant, grant veteran abatement and appoint election warden

Bremen — At a June 4 meeting, the Bremen Board of Selectmen unanimously approved and signed the Town Meeting warrant, accepted a veteran tax abatement for Map 003, Lot 024-007, and appointed Town Clerk Melanie Pendleton as warden for the municipal election on June 9, 2026.
The board convened at 5:02 p.m.; the three selectmen present — Chair Wendy Pieh, Selectman John "Boe" Marsh and Selectman Tom Papell — voted 3-0 on the motions. Selectman Marsh moved to approve and sign the Town Meeting warrant; Selectman Papell seconded and the motion carried 3-0.
Chair Pieh moved, with Selectman Marsh seconding, to accept an abatement warrant for Map 003, Lot 024-007 based on the Veteran Affairs letter indicating a 100% veteran qualification; that motion passed 3-0. Selectman Papell moved to appoint Melanie Pendleton as the warden for the municipal election on Tuesday, June 9, 2026; Chair Pieh seconded, and the board approved the appointment 3-0.
Later in the meeting the board accepted warrants dated May 22 and June 5, 2026, by Chair Pieh's motion, and accepted the minutes for May 21, 2026, on a motion by Selectman Papell. The meeting was adjourned at 5:34 p.m.
No formal objections or roll-call dissent were recorded in the meeting minutes.
