Maynardville commission approves water-and-sewer adjustments, hires ETDD for LPRF grant and defers E911 discussion

The City of Maynardville commission on Jan. 13 approved a package of administrative actions, including a resolution on water and sewer adjustments, and took procedural votes to manage future agenda items.
Commissioner Isaac Collins moved, seconded by Tim Young, to approve Resolution R-2026-01 concerning water and sewer adjustments. The roll call vote recorded Conner Chesney, Isaac Collins, Len Padgett and Tim Young in favor; the motion carried with four votes for.
During the reports section the commission approved hiring ETDD as administrator for the LPRF application and grant. Commissioner Isaac Collins moved to hire ETDD; Commissioner Conner Chesney seconded; the motion carried with four votes for.
Commissioner Tim Young moved, seconded by Len Padgett, to approve the minutes of the Dec. 29, 2025 special called meeting; roll-call entries show two members recorded as "pass," another two as "for," and one commissioner absent; the minutes state the motion failed and that the item will be added to the February agenda.
On a separate item, Commissioner Len Padgett moved, seconded by Tim Young, to push the E911 vote and discussion to a future meeting. The roll call recorded three votes for and one vote against (Conner Chesney). The motion carried and the E911 discussion will be considered at a future meeting per the minutes.
The minutes list reports from the Police Chief, Fire Chief and a finance report but contain no substantive text from those reports. The meeting adjourned at 7:12 P.M.
