The Pittman Center Planning Commission on Dec. 2 approved a subdivision for property on Spring Branch Road and recommended an amendment to the town's sign ordinance.
The commission voted to approve the subdivision for the parcel listed as M:109 P:195 after Mayor Jerry Huskey moved to approve and Dan Reilly seconded. Commissioner Brennon Garrett recorded an abstention; the motion carried.
The commission also considered Ordinance No. 343, described in the minutes as "an ordinance amending Section 11-410 of the zoning ordinance of the Town of Pittman Center, Tennessee for sign provisions within the Town of Pittman Center." Mayor Jerry Huskey moved to recommend the amendment; Secretary Mark Wilson seconded and the motion carried.
Two other agenda items were noted as withdrawn: a planned-unit-development application for property on E. Parkway in Gatlinburg (M:110G G: A P:008) and a proposed subdivision on Pittman Center Road (M:108 P:272 & 273.01). The minutes do not record any discussion or vote on those items.
The meeting opened at 4:40 p.m. and adjourned at 5:38 p.m. An administrative announcement listed Jan. 31, 2026, as the filing deadline for statements of interest. The minutes contain a brief unclear entry at the end reading "has air 1-6-26 Secretary Date," which is recorded verbatim in the document and not clarified in the minutes.
