The Town of Pittman Center’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted unanimously on Sept. 18 to proceed with an ordinance that would lower the speed limit on Emerts Cove Road from 20 miles per hour to 15 miles per hour.
Alderwoman Cheryl Ogle proposed the ordinance; Vice Mayor Kevin Howard seconded the motion. The minutes record that the motion passed “with all Ayes.” The board did not record a timeline for adoption or an ordinance number at the meeting; the item was recorded under new business.
City staff were instructed to prepare the ordinance language and bring it forward for formal consideration at a subsequent meeting.
