The Town of Pittman Center’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen unanimously approved awarding the FY2026 resurfacing contract to Blalock's after reviewing bids at its Sept. 18 meeting.
Vice Mayor Kevin Howard moved to award the contract to Blalock's; Alderman Steve McCarter seconded the motion. According to the minutes, the lowest bid was $400,000 and the motion passed “with all Ayes.”
Board members did not record additional conditions or a timetable in the minutes; city staff will proceed with contract administration and finalization, according to the city administrator's report. The approval was recorded during the new-business agenda item on resurfacing.
