Mayor W. Keith Varner called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. Rachel Davis moved to approve the Feb. 3, 2026 minutes; Jeremy Davis seconded. A roll-call vote recorded yes votes from Seat 1, Seat 3, Seat 4, Seat 5 and Mayor Varner; Seat 2 was absent. The motion passed.
Rachel Davis then moved to approve the bills for payment; Lelan Taylor seconded. The same roll-call pattern was recorded and the motion passed.
Later in the meeting, Jeremy Davis moved to authorize $13,110.50 to purchase a 22-foot pre-lit Christmas tree from Holiday Designs; Rachel Davis seconded. The roll-call vote again recorded yes from Seat 1, Seat 3, Seat 4, Seat 5 and the mayor, with Seat 2 absent. The motion passed, approving the expenditure.
Lisa Armstrong moved to close the town office in observance of Juneteenth; Jeremy Davis seconded. The recorded votes were 'Yes' from the present council members and 'Absent' for Seat 2; the motion passed.
Lelan Taylor moved to adjourn; Jeremy Davis seconded, and the meeting was adjourned. Town Clerk Robin Giardina attested the minutes.
