The board acknowledged several Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB) investigations and accepted the recommended outcomes during its March 20 meeting.
The minutes list individual cases with outcomes and disciplinary measures: one playground incident (noted HIB: no) resulted in a one-day out-of-school suspension and restorative circle with temporary loss of kickball privileges; a classroom sexual harassment/inappropriate comment led to a one-day out-of-school suspension; a physical-behavior incident led to a one-day in-school suspension; an incident described as “endangering the safety of others” resulted in a two-day out-of-school suspension; and a reported use of a racial slur on the playground resulted in a one-day out-of-school suspension. The minutes identify incidents by SID# and dates but do not publish student names.
Trustees formally acknowledged receipt of the HIB investigations and affirmed the HIB report where indicated. The minutes record follow-up actions such as restorative circles, loss of privileges and after-school detention as appropriate to the individual investigations.
