The Waterford Township Board of Education on Feb. 11 approved multiple personnel actions recommended by Superintendent Dr. Michael A. Nolan. The motions covered resignations, a retirement, creation and abolition of positions, substitute appointments, and stipend approvals.
The board accepted the retirement of Elizabeth Friedman, Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant, effective July 1, 2026, with gratitude for her years of service. The minutes also record the approval of a resignation (Michael Gant, Atco custodian, effective Jan. 22, 2026) and a rescinded offer of employment for a substitute (Terri Ethengain) noted in the personnel addendum.
The board approved the addition of a non-certified substitute school bus driver position at a rate of $25.00 per hour, and authorized appointment of multiple substitute teachers and paraprofessionals pending receipt of required documents (rates and names recorded in the minutes). The board approved a $500 stipend to Christina Coulter for translation services for the 2025–26 school year.
The personnel slate included creation of a paraprofessional position at Atco (UPC codes and effective dates recorded in the minutes) and the appointment of a custodian (Jason Kalusa) for Atco with hourly rate and start date listed. The motions were carried by roll-call vote where specified; items included addenda recorded in the minutes.
