Post described a smooth start to the school year and highlighted student engagement activities: team-building games for grades 7–12, a planned 4th grade visit to the Bushwacker Museum, and an enrichment/EOC trip to the Exeter Corn Maze on Oct. 18. He also said the Daughters of the American Revolution will present a Betsy Ross skit for grades K–5 on Sept. 16 and the district will again offer weekly attendance prizes.
The principal reported that implementation of Yondr phone pouches is proceeding relatively smoothly and that new elementary awards will require students to meet specified criteria; those criteria will be sent home and shared at parent‑teacher conferences. Post noted an upcoming 'See You at the Pole' event scheduled for Sept. 24 at 7:30 a.m. and said teachers will spend an upcoming professional development day on Professional Development Plans (PDPs) and curriculum work aligned to MAP/EOC data.
