The board adopted the Local Compliance Plan and the Code of Ethics by unanimous votes. Mr. Lamb moved to adopt the Local Compliance Plan; Mrs. Byram seconded. Separately, Mr. Nance moved to approve the Code of Ethics; Mr. Sprenkle seconded. The board kept existing bus routes (two routes with two in‑town stops) after a motion from Mrs. Byram and a second from Mr. Nance.
The board also adopted the district’s 2025–26 District Wide Evaluation Plan. Mrs. Byram moved for adoption and Mr. Lamb seconded; the motion carried 7‑0. During the meeting Principal Mr. Post updated members on preparations for the new school year and described the planned use of Yondr pouches to manage student cell phones. Superintendent Mr. Irwin briefed the board on start‑of‑year readiness, recent legislation and said the tax rate hearing is now scheduled for Aug. 25 at 7:00 p.m.
At 9:47 a.m. the board voted to move into closed session under RSMo 610.021 subsections (3) and (13) for personnel matters; the motion passed on a recorded roll call. The meeting returned from closed session and adjourned at 10:05 a.m.
