The Mulga Town Council on Jan. 20 approved its Jan. 6 minutes, authorized payment of bills and approved travel to three upcoming conferences.
Rachel Davis moved to approve the Jan. 6 minutes "as written," seconded by Jeremy Davis; roll-call votes were recorded as Seat 1 Yes; Seat 2 Absent; Seat 3 Yes; Seat 4 Yes; Seat 5 Yes; Mayor Yes — the motion carried.
Later in the meeting Rachel Davis moved to approve bills for payment; Lisa Armstrong seconded and the council again recorded a roll-call vote with the same pattern (Seat 1 Yes; Seat 2 Absent; Seat 3 Yes; Seat 4 Yes; Seat 5 Yes; Mayor Yes), approving bills for payment.
Mayor W. Keith Varner announced three upcoming conferences: Montgomery, Ala., March 15–18; the Gulf Coast Technical Training conference, May 18–22; and the ACE conference, June 22–25. Lisa Armstrong moved to approve travel, hotel and meals for up to three people to attend each of those conferences; Rachel Davis seconded. The roll-call vote recorded in the minutes approved the travel authorization (vote pattern: Seat 1 Yes; Seat 2 Absent; Seat 3 Yes; Seat 4 Yes; Seat 5 Yes; Mayor Yes).
The meeting concluded after a brief fire-department update and a motion to adjourn that passed unanimously. The minutes record Seat numbers for each vote; the minutes do not map seat numbers to specific council members in the vote listings.
