Plympton Board of Health approves multiple septic plans, grants variance to allow sieve analysis

The Board accepted the minutes of Jan. 27 and then approved plans for new installations and repairs at addresses including 125 West St., 123 West St., 110 Center St., 25 Oak St., 30 West St., 159 Center St., 17 Winnetuxet Rd., 19 Forest St., 112 Main St., 0 Main St., 28 Brook St., 387 Main St., 31 Parsonage Rd., 77 Spring St., and 73 West St. Each approval included the permit expiration date recorded in the minutes. The Board also noted several plans as “out for installation” (for example, 11 Heather’s Path and 9 Upland Rd.) and listed additional pending plans awaiting submission or review.
In a separate motion, the Board voted 3-0 to approve a variance to allow a sieve analysis instead of a perc test in the referenced application and approved Disposal System Construction Permit #1380. The minutes record the motion and the unanimous votes but do not identify who moved or seconded the motions.
The board’s minutes also list several properties with failed or conditional Title 5 reports, including 50 Forest St. (failed per Title 5 report, 12/1/2017), 50 Maple St. (conditional pass, needs D-box replacement), 36 Colchester St. (failed, 6/6/25) and 36 Parsonage Rd. (failed, 8/25/25). Health Agent Kevin Forgue and the chair noted these entries as ongoing enforcement or repair items for follow-up.
Chair Brad Cronin stated he would follow up with involved contractors and that staff would advise homeowners of status where records are missing or incomplete. The Board did not assign new enforcement deadlines in the minutes.
