City attorney Russell Freeman reported two enforcement items and a regulatory review at the Nov. 18 Ridgetop meeting. Freeman said Metro Nashville has issued a stop-work order on the Stone property for violations falling under Metro Nashville’s authority. Freeman also told the board he will file an injunction in Robertson County courts in the next 10 days regarding a code violation at 1775 Nelson Road.
Freeman added the city is reviewing an ordinance to restrict vehicle weight limits on city streets, which he said could help address problems on East End Road. The board did not debate the text of that ordinance at the meeting; Freeman described the review as ongoing.
Separately, Mayor Tim Shaw reported operational work by the utilities departments: the gas department logged 25 811 locate tickets, completed seven service orders, and installed two gas services; the sewer department completed 25 811 tickets, five service orders and 10 sewer tank inspections focused on inflow and infiltration (I/I), monitoring sludge levels and identifying problem areas to mitigate excess water entering the sewer system.
