Councilwoman Sara King moved to remove R2026-106 and R2026-107 from the consent agenda for separate votes and to clarify both resolutions to permit only a solo guitarist (acoustic) or an acoustic duet between noon and 8 p.m. The council approved the amended resolutions with ayes from Capristo, Casagrande, Degnan‑Spang and King; Councilman Campion asked police to monitor compliance.
Administrator John Barrett told the council staff had met with the Shore Club owners and the police chief and that the owners had agreed to make changes intended to create a more upscale experience. Council members stressed that approval depends on compliance and that continued violations could prompt revocation or further restrictions.
The council did not specify additional enforcement steps at the meeting beyond police monitoring; staff were directed to continue tracking complaints and to report back if problems persist.
