Jeff, a loss-patrol consultant with MURMA, told the St. Clair Board of Aldermen that MURMA awarded the city a $3,375 risk grant to go toward a police dash camera.
"Back MURMA is a self insurance pool that the city's been member of since the mid 80s," Jeff said while explaining MURMA’s services; he told the board the grant committee awarded $3,375 to go toward a dash camera and that he had a plaque to present and expected the check to arrive by mail within days.
The mayor and board thanked the police chief and department for taking advantage of the program; no conditions or contract language for the grant were discussed in the transcript. The presentation was framed as a recognition of the city’s participation in MURMA’s risk-management programs.
