Alman board sets Nov. 6 budget workshop, recognizes staff and hears police staffing update

The administrator recognized Nicole Bransom and Tina Elliot for their clerical work supporting police operations and thanked them publicly. The administrator also said the new city clerk is moving into an office in the coming days and asked for help moving some furniture.
The police chief reported that a conditional offer of employment had been made to an officer identified as Thomas; the officer passed a physical and drug screen and is expected to start on the 23rd. Board members asked whether there were other applicants for the vacancy and about the officer’s local ties.
The board invited members to contact staff with budget questions and confirmed the next regular meeting is Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.
