At the April 29 meeting Student Council President Meredith Dufner presented student activities and service efforts including Respect Week, Relay for Life, Community Day, and a 'Stuff the Bus' clothing drive that collected 1,789 pounds of clothing. The student council also reported a Mr. Warren Hills fundraiser that raised $2,000 for Ava’s Voice and highlighted student participation in a NJASC conference focused on mental-health awareness.
Superintendent Earl C. Clymer, III and Business Administrator Donnamarie Palmiere reviewed district goals for 2024–2025, emphasizing vertical curriculum articulation for middle-to-high-school transitions, initiatives to improve school culture and climate (including the District Mental Health Team, SCAIP initiative, Nurtured Heart Approach and the DREAMS Program), and a district effort to educate families and staff on the use of AI tools while strengthening data security practices.
Under Education & Policy the board recognized that a school bus emergency evacuation drill was conducted on April 8, 2025 between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Supervising administrators Robert Cacchio and Jacqueline Nassry oversaw the drill, which included a list of GST, Snyder and Krapf bus routes. The resolution affirms compliance with N.J.A.C. requirements to hold and document evacuation drills.
The board also noted nominations for Governor Educator of the Year awards for multiple staff members. The district framed these items as part of ongoing efforts to support student wellbeing, safety and curricular alignment.
