Commission approves tractor purchase, adds county manager as Ozark Bank signer and tables garbage-rate increase

The motion was seconded by Commissioner Gerald Douglas and recorded as passing unanimously; the purchase was to be funded with TSPLOST funds. The vendor quote appears in the record as a procurement option.
Commissioner Jason Frost made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Douglas, to adopt a resolution adding County Manager Thomas Weaver as an authorized signer on the Unified Government’s Ozark Bank accounts; the board voted unanimously to approve the resolution.
On a separate item, Commissioner Frost moved to table a proposed garbage-rate increase and to have staff analyze the cost of bringing garbage collection back in-house; Commissioner Damon Hoyte seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
The board also entered executive session for legal and personnel matters, beginning at 9:35 a.m., and reconvened at 10:23 a.m.; Chairman Coffey stated that the closed discussion fell within legal exceptions and that no votes were taken during executive session.
