Council recognized local equine stakeholders at the meeting: Police Chief Jack Rushing publicly acknowledged Toby Edwards, executive director of the Carolina Cup Racing Association, for his longstanding partnership with Camden police. City Manager Matt DeWitt later reported that Camden Cup Fest was a success, and William “Rusty” Major used public comment to highlight the Cup Fest and upcoming Historic Preservation Month activities.
