The Briarcliffe Acres Town Council voted unanimously on Sept. 16 to proceed with a legal review of the town's ordinance project by CivicPlus.
Councilman Brian Palliser moved to authorize the review; Councilman Brian McIntyre seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. The council noted that legal funds for the review already exist in the town budget and directed Town Clerk Jennifer Newbold to complete the necessary signatures and follow up on contracting steps.
The review was discussed as part of Old Business following the council workshop. Council members framed the review as a procedural step to ensure the town’s ordinances are up to date and legally sound; no public opposition or alternative proposals were recorded in the minutes.
Next steps: the clerk will finalize signatures and the town will proceed with CivicPlus under the authority and budget previously allocated.
