North Royalton council approves sewer, road and procurement measures; hears personnel/administrative items

Beyond the contested land-use item, North Royalton City Council moved several administrative and infrastructure measures on March 3. By roll call votes the council adopted ordinances authorizing technical support for MS4 permit requirements (26-42), increasing a WPCLF loan for the Edgerton Road sanitary sewer improvements (26-43), granting change-order authority for the Edgerton sewer contract (26-44), approving the purchase of a 2026 Chevrolet Equinox for the wastewater department (26-45), combining prior WPCLF loan ordinances for wastewater plant planning (26-46), amending the Fair Housing Review Board quorum rules (26-47), and accepting low bids for the 2026 road maintenance program (26-48, 26-49, 26-50). Most motions to suspend the three-reading rule were approved and the listed ordinances were adopted by unanimous 7-0 votes.
Council also moved Resolution 26-41 (mayoral reappointment to the Fair Housing Review Board) off the Consent Agenda for separate consideration and placed it on Second Reading. Two ordinances addressing intoxicating beverage rules and related event fees in municipal parks (26-51 and 26-52) were placed on Second Reading.
Council recessed into an executive session at 8:55 p.m. to discuss personnel and imminent/pending court action and reconvened the regular session at 9:44 p.m., then adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
