Washington Township Council closes public comment, adjourns March 26 meeting

Council Vice President Donald C. Brown, Jr. asked for motions to open and later close public participation; motions by Mr. Bennett and seconded by Mr. Yerkes were approved with no speakers. The council adjourned at 6:59 p.m. after a motion by Mr. Bennett and second by Mr. Harris.
At the March 26 meeting of the Washington Township Council, Donald C. Brown, Jr. requested a motion to open the meeting to public participation. Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Yerkes seconded the motion; members present approved it unanimously. The council reported that no one wished to speak during the public-comment period.
Mr. Brown then asked for a motion to close public participation; Mr. Bennett moved, Mr. Yerkes seconded, and the council again approved the motion unanimously. Later in the agenda Mr. Brown asked for a motion to adjourn; Mr. Bennett moved, Mr. Harris seconded, and the members voted in favor. The meeting adjourned at 6:59 p.m.
The minutes were signed and filed as "Respectfully submitted, QRS, Township Clerk." The next council meeting is scheduled for April 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
