Gordonsville Mayor John Potts opened a public hearing Monday evening to solicit comment on Ordinance 2025-05-12, the town’s proposed FY 2025–26 annual budget and the purchasing policy tied to that ordinance.
The hearing, held at the Gordonsville Civic Center, began at 6:15 p.m. and included Vice-Mayor Danny Williams; Councilwoman Angela Bates; Councilmen Luke Pierce and Joseph Robinson; and staff members including Chief Shannon Hunt, Chief Daniel Lafevor, Drew Gentry, Kurt Bass and City Attorney Winkler. Councilman Shane Smith was noted as absent. Michael Ray served as city recorder.
Mayor Potts opened the floor for public comment on both the budget ordinance and the purchasing policy. No members of the public offered comments for or against either Ordinance 2025-05-12 during the hearing.
