Gordonsville council approves CedarStone rezoning, advances FY 2025–26 budget and purchasing‑policy amendment

Council members then considered the FY 2025/2026 annual budget on first reading. Councilman Smith moved to approve the budget on first reading and Councilman Pierce seconded; the motion carried on a unanimous roll‑call vote, advancing the budget for any required subsequent readings or administrative steps.
An amendment to the town's Purchasing Policy (Ordinance 2025‑05‑12 O=P.P.) was presented on first reading. Councilman Smith moved to approve on first reading, Councilman Robinson seconded, and the council voted unanimously to approve the change on first reading.
Separately, Ordinance 2025‑04‑14‑01 ZA — a proposed rezoning for portions off Baker Lane from I‑1 to C‑2 — was tabled until next month's meeting after council members delayed consideration of a related thoroughfare amendment. The council took no further budgetary actions and adjourned at 6:38 p.m.
