Warren Hills board approves policy second reads, affirms HIB findings and greenlights field trips

On Dec. 9 the Warren Hills Regional Board of Education approved second readings of revised policies and regulations P&R 2530 (Resource Material), P&R 2535 (Library Material) and P&R 9130 (Public Complaints) as recommended by the Education and Policy Committee.
The board also affirmed administrative decisions for three harassment, intimidation and bullying (HIB) cases: MS–2025–2026–001 and HS–2025–2026–002 and 003.
The board approved a large slate of field trips under Policy 2340, including music and career-development travel, DECA and debate team engagements, and extracurricular competitions: FFA National Competition in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Archery Nationals at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville; and other district travel with registration and mileage costs noted where applicable.
Finally, the board adjusted the 2025–26 school calendar: the school closing day on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025 will be made up on Friday, June 5, 2026; the last day for students will be Friday, June 5, 2026 (11:55 a.m. dismissal) and the last day for faculty will be Monday, June 8, 2026.
