Ridgetop appoints new planning member, schedules code hearing and public events at Ridgetop Station Park

At the Sept. 16 meeting Mayor Tim Shaw appointed Monica Gallaher to the Planning and Zoning Board; the minutes record the appointment but do not show a separate confirmation vote.

Alderman Senft reported a code-enforcement matter: a resident operating a business at a home remains in violation after a prior denial of an exception and has been cited; a court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 22, 2025 to address the violation.

Vice Mayor Gilmore reported multiple Parks and Recreation matters at Ridgetop Station Park: siding and soffit work nearly complete (contractor/worker Brandon Frank), mulch installation finished, the new lawnmower is operational, and the fence damaged in a vehicle crash has been repaired. He announced two upcoming public events: "Smoke on the Ridge" on Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring a BBQ contest, and the "Morgan on the Rim" Civil War reenactment Oct. 24'26. He also said he handed out 500 flyers at the recent Experience Robertson County event.

City Recorder Kelly Rider reported the city received $10,265.66 from Public Entity Partners for a water damage/mold claim.
