Community members voice concern after winter track program canceled

Several members of the public spoke during the general comment period at the Warren Hills Regional Board of Education meeting on Aug. 26 to express concern about the cancellation of the district winter track program for the 2025–26 school year.
The committee report earlier in the meeting (Finance, Facilities & Transportation) noted that winter track will not run in 2025–26. During the public comment period several community members raised that loss and the board acknowledged the comments; the minutes do not record the names of individual commenters or a formal petition or board action in response.
The meeting proceeded to additional business and a second executive session later in the evening. The board did not record any vote or formal resolution on winter track during the Aug. 26 meeting minutes.
